My husband and I lived across the street from Mrs. Cox for a few years and she always had a smile on her face. She was a very nice lady and will be missed.

Dear Family: I worked for the Bankruptcy Court for nearly 14 years beginning in 1972 before leaving to raise a family in Millen. We were a close knit group and I still miss them. Esther and I made many trips through the square to the bank, regardless of the weather. She was proudest of being a mother and grandmother, though. I pass through Uvalda on a regular basis and always think of her as I most assuredly will now. I know how sad it is to lose your mother, and you will be in my prayers.

Dear Family, My mother, Christine Cox is currently in the hospital at Memorial. She was so sad to hear of your mother's passing. She considered Esther to be not just a friend,, but like a sister. Through my mother's illness, I spoke many times to your mom on the phone. She was a friend to be cherished. God be with you and give you peace, Sandra

Jim, We met at the Bobby Burns celebration a few weeks ago. As I mentioned to you then, I remember my Daddy speaking of your mother when I was growing up in Savannah. Please accept my condolences on her death. I will be holding you and your family in my nightly prayers.
