Lance Robert Sills, 49, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 under the care of Hospice Savannah.

Mr. Sills was born in Savannah, GA on March 24, 1960, the son of Claude Robert and Frances Cox Sills. As a child Mr. Sills and his family attended Calvary Baptist Church. They later moved to Brunswick where Lance graduated from Brunswick High School. After graduation he served in the United States Navy and upon completion of his military tenure returned to Brunswick to pursue his career as a commercial shrimper.

Mr. Sills is survived by his mother, Frances Cox Sills of Brunswick; brother, Michael Sills of Savannah and sister, Lisa Sills of Brunswick.

Funeral services will be private.
