Laverne Baskin Saucier

Savannah - Laverne Baskin Saucier, 88, died April 5, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, daughter of the late Leslie Emery Baskin and Georgia Williams Baskin. Mrs. Saucier lived in Savannah since 1939 and was retired from Union Camp Corporation after 42 years of service. She and was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Welborn "Webb" Saucier.

Surviving are a son, Morris Welborn Saucier of Savannah; granddaughter, Jennifer Gibbs and her husband, Mark of Watkinsville, GA; grandson, Michael Saucier of Rincon, GA; special niece, Beryldean Winter of Charleston, SC and other nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel

Graveside Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Reverend Dr. Herbert F. Hubbard officiating, assisted by Reverend Tommy East.

Remembrances: Bible Baptist Church, 4700 Skidaway Rd., Savannah, GA 31404 or the Alzheimer's Association of Savannah, 201 Television Circle, Savannah, GA 31406.
