TYBEE ISLAND, GA - Frederick "Fred" Arndt Stoller, 68, died Monday, April 13, 2009 in Savannah.

Mr. Stoller was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 26, 1940 the son of the late Fred and Helen Arndt Stoller. Fred was raised in Atlanta, GA and was a graduate of Georgia Tech where he excelled in baseball playing in the SEC and upon graduation was drafted by the Cleveland Indians. Instead of pursuing a baseball career he began his career in the United States Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War and retired after twenty years of service as Major. He was also a stockbroker with A.G. Edwards & Sons for 35 years.

Mr. Stoller was a member of Zerubbabel Lodge #15, F. & A.M., the Alee Shrine where he was active with the Patrol Unit and a member of the Tybee Lite Shrine Club. He was also a member of the Tybee Island Optimist Club and a volunteer at Fort Pulaski. Fred was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Tybee Island.

Mr. Stoller is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Neca Blair Stoller of Tybee Island, GA; son, Frederick Oliver Stoller of Columbus, GA; daughter-in-law, Viviane Stoller of Columbus, GA and granddaughter, Emma Catherine Stoller of Columbus, GA.

Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

Graveside Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday at Bonaventure Cemetery with military honors and Masonic Rites.
