Savannah – Elizabeth Ann Brown Schaaf, 82, died Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Buckingham South in Savannah. She was born in Savannah, daughter of the late Ormsby Dearmon and Charlie McGrady Brown. She lived in Savannah most of her life with the exception of seventeen years spent with her husband in the military. Mrs. Schaaf was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church, American Red Cross volunteer and a homemaker. During her years as a devoted mother, she was active as a Cub Scout Den Mother and School PTA. Her husband, Oscar Reynold Schaaf and twin sister, Peggy Aliotta preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy S. and Jim Love of Savannah; Patricia S. and Matt Waldschmidt of Cary, NC; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Karen Schaaf of Richmond Hill; Greg and Susan Schaaf of Germantown, TN; six grandchildren, Mark Schaaf of San Francisco, CA; David Schaaf and his wife, Ashley of Los Angeles, CA; Brian Schaaf of Pittsburgh, PA; Gary Schaaf of Los Angeles, CA; Lauren Schaaf of Athens, GA; Erin Love of Savannah; one great granddaughter, Hayley Schaaf of Los Angeles, CA and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at St. James Catholic Church with The Reverend Mark Ross, Celebrant.

Burial: Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
