Thais, I was heartbroken to see Larry's obituary in todays paper. When Steve and I saw you guys at Meredith's wedding, Larry looked wonderful and sounded very positive about the future and coming back to the beach. But God does have a master plan for each of us and when our job here on earth is finished,he takes us to spend a beautiful eternity with him. I remember when we met at Nuclear Power School 42 ? years ago, when I was pregnant with my son Chris. We quickly formed a strong friendship that has lasted over the years, even though we might not have seen each other in person that often in the later years due to different duty stations and retirement. One of my fondest memories is playing cards at your home when Chris was just weeks old and lying on a blanket on the carpet, with Humphrey babysitting him!!! A precious memory! Please know that Larry had many angels greeting him upon arrival in Heaven and my Steve was one of them. He died unexpectedly Feb. 27, so right now we are both sharing in the loss of the men we loved. Take care of yourself, dear friend, and you will get through this with the loving prayers of all the people Larry and you have touched over the years.

My condolences go out to the family and especially to Thais. Larry was like a second father to me and a mentor as well. We both enjoyed our military stories but more importantly were the conversations we had about Christ and the joy that comes in knowing him during the difficult times he faced. I know Larry has much love for his family and he never hesitated telling me how he looked so forward to returning to Virginia Beach and to be with the grandkids and to grow old together with Thais and with those who loved him most even his friends. I will miss him greatly....I already do. My prayers go forth to all of you. Larry had such a passion for life and he always kept his enthusiasm and outlook positive. I am so glad Jesus placed Larry in my life and for that I know Romans 8:28, 29 is the plans that he has for us in life through those we meet. What an incredible man, what a powerful legacy. I praise God for the life he lived.

Dear Thais, Words here are only that--words; but sometimes words can be our friends. I truly hope one day you will be happy again and make a full recovery from 2009! While I never knew Larry, he must have been one great guy! Imagine, in todays' mores, being married to the same person for close to half a century; well that is not the norm! You two had life all figured out and obviously lived it well together and raised a loving family. It saddens me to know that such a perfect union has been temporarily broken, but, I'm sure you will keep all the pieces together in your heart and one day rejoin Larry in that peaceful place we know he is looking down at you from. He is pain free. Keep the faith, and know your friends are praying for you and your family. Fondly,
- Alice Jordan Bauza, Ray City, GA
To The Keegan Family, The passing of Larry has touched us deeply. When our daughter, Christi, fell in love with a Keegan boy, David, who ever dreamed that it would mold two families together like ours. Through the marriage, births of our granddaughters, and baptisms, we grew to know Larry and Thais well. The family dinners at Thanksgiving were cherished most dearly by us and all this because of Christi and David falling in love with each other. Since our granddaughters were born, we could never imagined the excellent father that they got. This is because of the father that David modeled, Larry. Thank you, Larry, for being a great role model to Alexis' and Sierra's father. Oh, how we looked forward to your return to VaBeach some day. It really has not become cognizant that you have gone to your heavenly home yet,but accept we must. Rest in peace and thank you for the friend and family that you had become. All said, there is no doubt that the world became a better place because of Larry Keegan.

Fondly,
