TO Billy McKenna's family, Only today, 3-22-2010, did I learn about Billy via Tommy Sheehan's obituary. I am stunned. I am so sorry. He was a remarkable, colorful magnificent character and man. I can only imagine how much you must be missing him everyday. You and he are in my prayers and thoughts. The world is an emptier, duller place without him.

Dear Marion and family, I am deeply sadened by the loss of Bill. He will be missed by many. We just heard about this yesterday, 06/09/09. The prayers of my family, Tommy McGee and my brother Mike are with you. We always enjoyed working with Bill, through thick and thin. God Bless

Billy lived on Charlton Street. He would leave his house always at the very last moment, come down Whitaker Street and pick me up in his Model A Ford. We would race to 33rd street, park the car, and run as fast as we could to make formation at B.C. to avoid getting demerits. It was always 'down to the wire'. On many days, after school, Billy would drive George Mavrikis to his Augusta Avenue home, way out of the way, then take me home to Whitaker and Taylor. Sometime we would go to Triple X or around and about. Billy was my good friend. Bright, always fun to be around, a really good guy. He never changed. It was great that we shared some very important years together. Norman Dolgoff

Dear Marion and Family: We were very fond of Billy and mourn his passing. He and I shared the same opinions regarding Gascoigne Bluff and we shared Gascoigne Bluff as if we owned the 500 acres for years and our tranquility lasted until Jim Black showed up.
