Elizabeth Gibson Smith McDougald

Savannah - Elizabeth Gibson Smith McDougald, 92, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009. She was born August 21, 1916 in Laurinburg, NC. She was a long standing member of Grace United Methodist Church where she was Woman of the Year and a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Malcolm John and Pat McDougald of Savannah and William Alexander and Donna McDougald of Southside, AL; five granddaughters, Camille, Caroline, Hillary, Alexis and Valerie.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2009 at Grace United Methodist Church.

Burial: Graveside at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009 in Laurinburg, North Carolina.

Remembrances: Grace United Methodist Church, 6412 Waters Ave., Savannah, GA 31406.
