DONNIE HUGH SUTTON
Donnie Hugh Sutton, 66, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 19, 2009 at Hospice Savannah.
Donnie was a Savannah native, a veteran of the United States Navy and an avid fisherman. He loved nothing more than fishing on the Savannah River with his brothers. Donnie worked as a general manager at Atlantic Container Services for twenty seven years. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vilas and Mary Cox Sutton, one sister, Josie Sutton Rowe, two brothers Donald Bernas Sutton and James Jackson "Jimmy" Sutton.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Faye Anderson Sutton, one daughter, Sherri Denise Sutton, of New York, New York, one son Jeffrey Hugh Sutton and his wife Wendy, of Richmond Hill; brother Aubrey V. Sutton of Clyo, brother Kenneth Sutton of Hampton, SC; sister Glenda Stone, and her husband Bobby, of Springfield; sisters-in-law Patricia Sutton of Springfield, Linda Sutton of Hampton, SC and a hosts of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 21, 2009 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Funeral Services will be Monday, June 22, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel with Reverend Ron Parrish officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery with Military Honors.

I just recently heard that Tony has passed away. I knew him from when I would go to ACS to observe inventory for the company audit. He was always so chipper and upbeat even though taking inventory was no fun and it was usually rather cold. Please accept my condolences on the passing of a great guy.

I was fortunate enough to have met Donnie 29 years ago when I first moved to Savannah. Over the next 9 years Donnie and I worked closely and I developed a deep respect for his skill,and knowledge. We have worked together off and on since then and I have always held his opinions in high regard and looked forward to any opportunity to work with him again. I feel honored to have been able to know him and work with him and he will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to his family at his loss
