Dr. Elaine B. Andrews

Skidaway Island - Dr. Elaine B. Andrews died peacefully on July 5, 2009 after a long illness. She was married for very close to 55 years to Dr. Victor L. Andrews of Skidaway Island in Savannah. She was born in Lorain, Ohio on September 2, 1930. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Dr. Edward Bernasek and his family of Winston-Salem, NC.
Dr. Elaine Andrews was a graduate of Stanford University and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts-Harvard University. She taught at Simmons College and Boston University in Boston and afterward pursued a very diverse career in consulting in Atlanta.
She and her husband resided on Skidaway Island after late December 1997 to the present. In recent years, she was interested in charitable organizations of various sorts across the United States. Close friends of many years are scattered across the nation.
Graveside Funeral Service: 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
