Kenneth David Chase, Sr.
SAVANNAH – Kenneth David Chase, Sr., 86, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Hospice House.
The Brooklyn, NY native was a twenty year retiree of the United States Army, having served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was also retired from Savannah Gas Company.
Mr. Chase was a member of Thunderbolt Masonic Lodge #693. He attended Thunderbolt Baptist Church and was a former member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Faye Wofford Chase.
Surviving are a son, Kenny D. Chase, Jr. Pug of Savannah; two daughters, Barbara Donnelly Chris of Savannah and Margie Dorsey Gary of Stilson; five grandchildren, McCall Chase, Eric Donnelly Jennifer, Shawn Donnelly, Gary Dorsey Dana, and Matthew Dorsey; three great-grandchildren; and a niece.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
