SAVANNAH – Patricia "Trish" Gaillard Snyder, 66, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2009 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC.
Born August 2, 1943 in Savannah, Trish was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She was a 1961 graduate of Savannah High School and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1966.
Trish was a flight attendant for National Airlines and Pan Am Airlines for 16 years prior to teaching school for 14 years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patty Crawford Gaillard.
Surviving are her sister, Sally Fiveash of Savannah; her brother, George Siday Gaillard III and his wife Sylvia of Waleska, GA; a nephew, Barron Matthew Gaillard and his wife Heather of Lawrenceville, GA; and numerous cousins and dear friends.
A Memorial Service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14, at The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Saluda, NC.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20, from 5-7 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, in Bonaventure Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to St. John's Church, 1 West Macon St., Savannah, GA 31401, the Elizabeth House at Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Rd., Flat Rock, NC 28731, or the Organ Fund at The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, P.O. Box 275, Saluda, NC 28773.
Dear Sally, George and all the family. I had hoped to be with you today but cannot make it to Georgia for the services. Still, Trish and all of you are in my heart and prayers today. Love to you all. Trish was a dear, dear friend and will be missed. Doug Bartel
