1924-2009
Ellen Bandy passed away peacefully on August 18th at her home in Macon, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Frank H Bandy,
her daughter Francis Jeanne, brother Berman and sister Henrietta.
She is survived by three daughters, Joanne, Marie, Ellen and one son Frank Jr. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother.
She was a proud Grandmother of fourteen and Great Grandmother of fifteen. Edwina or Eddie as most called her was born in Statesboro, Georgia where she was a high school basketball star. Edwina and her husband Frank operated a successful shrimping business at Isle of Hope and later moved to LaRoche Ave. She spent most of her life in the two places she loved most, Isle of Hope and St. Augustine Florida. Floating on a boat in the Skidaway River or at the beach in St. Augustine made her life complete.
Her graceful southern charm, warm smile, loving touch and quick wit is what will be missed by everyone.
A Time of Remembrance will be held at The Pavilion at Isle of Hope Marina.
