Nell Foster Forkner, 98 died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and was retired from Candler Hospital as an Executive Housekeeper. She was one of the original Girl Scout's. She loved flowers and was a collector of dolls.

She is survived by four sons, Samuel L. Forkner and his wife Jean, of Savannah, Robert E. Forkner, and his wife Carolyn, of Alabama, James O. Forkner, of Rincon, and Ben S. Forkner, of Savannah. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
