Jill Nichole Newman
Passed away on December 14, 2019
Jill Nichole Newman, 50, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jill was born in Savannah and a long-time resident of Wilmington Island.
She worked in banking for many years and was known for her friendly demeanor and exuberant beautiful smile. Her most important responsibility however, was nurturing, protecting, caring and loving her family. Jill had a deep affection for her friends, loved gardening, and could not pass up a good consignment shop. She inspired many people with her courage and positive attitude toward any adversity that came before her.
Surviving are her husband, Kevin Newman of Savannah, GA; children, Nicholas and Hannah Newman both of Savannah, GA; mother, Donna Gould of Savannah; father, Mike Robider of Guyton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Julie Robider of Douglasville, GA and several aunts, cousins and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2019 at Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church, conducted by Reverend Andy Meeker.
Inurnment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
