He leaves behind to mourn his absence three sisters, Vicki Murff and husband Donald Murff, Dusty Roper and husband George Roper, Tammi Bock and husband Frank Bock, countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins. His was a close and loving family.
Chuck was always proud of his involvement in the Jacksonville American Red Cross Volunteer Life Saving Corps. He was a member of the recruit class Summer 1964 where he spent countless hours on the towers along the beach. He was proud to serve on the Board of Directors and was actively engaged in the planning and preparation for the upcoming 100th anniversary celebration.
A member of the United States Coast Guard from 1966 until 1972, he was an Air Crewman flying on many life saving missions from Alaska to Miami. Chuck was an instrument rated commercial pilot, and he possessed a great love for all things aviation.

Calm seas and fair sailing Chuck.
Chuck was someone that I consider to have been my friend. He was a true gentleman who was always so willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed help. We worked together over a period of many years. I still remember all of the times that he helped me with various projects when he served in his role as trainer. Chuck will certainly be missed but he will also be remembered by me as a positive and upbeat Christian man. It has been an honor to have known Chuck. God Bless.

Became friends with Chuck when we worked together in training department at Fort Howard and always looked forward to seeing him and 'catching up' at the Georgia Pacific national business meetings. I'll always remember him as a kind, thoughtful, Christian gentlemen.

I worked with with Chuck for 25 years. He was liked and respected by everybody because he cared for everyone. His sense of humor and enthusiasm was unequaled. He was a self starter who generated great ideas and gained major results when he and his team executed against them.We all benefited from Chucks talent, energy and people skills. His smile and 'can do spirit' will be missed. He left a big footprint in this world. This world became a much better place because Chuck was here and impacted all of us.His compassion and spirit will live with us forever.

Patty and Chip, please accept my condolences on the loss of your loving husband and dad, and Vicki, Dusty, and Tammi on the loss of a great and loving brother. I always knew when talking to Chuck that the most important thing in his life was his family. He was a great guy and I will miss him and mourn his passing. God bless you Chuck, you gave it one heck of a fight buddy.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Anderson family. I was impressed with many things about Chuck. He was a very capable man but was never pushy, never having to be macho even when so many others were. He made me feel like a life long friend shortly after his return from the military when we first met and it remained that way for ever. God Bless you Sir, and your entire family.
