Marie Myrick Lindsey, 89, passed away peacefully just moments prior to her 90th Birthday on December 7, 2009.

Mrs. Lindsey, a Savannah native was born on December 8, 1919, the daughter of the late Frank Jester and Marie Templeton Myrick. Marie was a faithful and longtime member of Savannah Christian Church. She was a member of the Christian Builders Sunday School Class and assisted with the Wednesday night suppers. In addition to her work at Savannah Christian, she was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross and a Pink Lady at St. Josephs Hospital. Marie was honored by WTOC as being one of Savannahs "Hometown Heroes".

Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years, Robert Lindsey; son-in-law, Dan Barnhart and brother, Harold Myrick. She is survived by her daughters, Dell Feutralle and husband Jerry of Richmond Hill, Fay Barnhart of Denton, TX, Linda Lindsey of Savannah and Brenda Jenkins and husband Paul of Monroeville, AL; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Wilson Myrick of Springfield, GA; sisters, Eloise Goodman of Bluffton, SC, Sadie Neil of Reidsville, GA and Ruth Holder of Venice, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with burial following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
