Milton William Shearin
SAVANNAH – Milton William Shearin, 67, died Monday, January 25, 2010, at his home, under the care of Pearls of Life Hospice. The Roanoke Rapids, NC native had lived in Savannah for most of his life.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Cuban Crisis. Mr. Shearin retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years of service and served in Waycross in the Georgia Sate Patrol. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Thunderbolt.
Surviving are his daughter, Kim Kaczorowski of Savannah; his brother, Herman R. Shearin, Jr. of Savannah; four cousins, Debbie Helmly of Savannah, Luda Box of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Sandra Baker and Linda Wright of Paducah, KY; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday in Bonaventure Cemetery with full military honors.
