Ceil was a true Southern lady as well as one of Savannah's golfing greats. She was admired for her patience and understanding, both on and off the course, by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was modest in her many victories and humble in her defeats - which were few. A longtime friend and golfing companion, she was also a mentor to so many of us. We will pray for you in your time of sorrow and give thanks for all the wonderful memories Ceil left us with.

So sorry to hear of the passing of this great lady. I worked at the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame when she was inducted. She was such a pleasure to be around and I enjoyed the interactions I had with her through the Hall of Fame. My mother played in several golf tournaments that Ceil was in and she always remembered me and asked after me whenever she saw my mom. Many prayers for all her loved ones!
