Eleanor Carolyn Barton Hollingsworth, 80 died Monday, February 8, 2010 at Savannah Square. The Savannah native was retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company. She was a 70 year member of Calvary Baptist Temple. Mrs. Hollingsworth was also a member of the Chapel Bible Class which she and her husband help to organize and where she served as Secretary for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G. Hollingsworth.

She is survived by her nephew, Charles T. Hollingsworth and his wife, Nelma, of Savannah and cousins, Roland Irish, Lucille Clark Ed, Elizabeth Guritz Daniel, and Linda Pinckney Frank.

Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday February 10, 2010 at the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Staubes and Rev. Wayne Watts officiating.

Remembrances may be made in her memory to the Joseph G. Hollingsworth Scholarship Fund at Calvary Baptist Day School, 4625 Waters Ave, Savannah, GA 31404.
