Berman Tucker
March 13, 1924 - February 26, 2010
Savannah-Berman Tucker, 85, died Friday, February 26, 2010 at Hospice Savannah.
He was a native of Evans County, Georgia but lived most of his life in Savannah. He owned Tucker Oil Company and also retired after 18 years of service with Savannah Coca-Cola. During WWII, he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a life time member of First Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed car racing, fishing, sports and golf. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Irene Lewis Tucker.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Pam Tucker, Terry B. and Jean Ann Tucker, Thomas F. and Mary Ann Tucker; six grandchildren, Aaron, Kathleen, Matthew, Kelly, Phillip and Frank; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Byron Tucker, Bobby Tucker, Larry Spence; sister, Bonnie Price, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the Islands Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel, with Rev. Michael Locklear officiating. A private burial will follow.
