Savannah – Theodore Vincent "Ted" Brown, beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle joined his heavenly Father in eternal rest on 19 April 2010. He was born on 18 September 1937 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Henry Jesse Brown, Sr. and Mildred Brown of Savannah, Georgia. His beloved family includes his mother, Mildred of Savannah; sister-in-law, Davine Brown of Murrayville; brother, The Rev. Daniel Aaron Brown and sister-in-law, Donna of Grovetown, Georgia; daughter, Carolyn Brown Miller and her husband Michael; grandchildren, Lindsay, Tyler, Michael and Theodore of Mays Landing, New Jersey; great-aunt, Carrie Jeffcoat along with niece, Virginia Kirby and nephews, Henry Brown, III, Christopher Brown and Glenn Urbantz.

Theodore was a member of Ardsley Park Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Savannah High. He attended the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina and served in the Georgia Air National Guard in Savannah. He worked at Savannah Board of Education and then for American Can Company before transferring to New Jersey where he was a computer programmer for Universal Manufacturing Corporation. Theodore was an active member of the Masonic Blue Lodge and is a Past Master of Matawan Lodge No. 192, F.&A.M. He moved back to Savannah over 25 years ago to help care for his parents. His interest included computer, fishing and cats. He leaves behind both Sonny Boy and Buddy to be cared for by his family. He was greatly interested in genealogy and had done a substantial amount of research which can be found on ancestry.com. Theodore loved his family deeply and his death leaves a void that cannot be filled.

Family will receive friends at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel on Thursday, 22 April 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Services will follow on Friday 23 April 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel at 11:00 AM with interment following at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Gerald Douberly, Robert A. Douberly, Michael Miller, Sr., Michael Miller, Jr., Henry J. Brown and Christopher Brown. Honorary pallbearer is Richard Douberly of Savannah.

Remembrances may be made to Ardsley Park Baptist Church, 1 E. 55th Street, Savannah, Georgia 31405 or to Shriners Hospitals, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
