New Orleans, LA - Timothy Martin O'Malley, age 57, departed on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:10 PM at his residence in New Orleans, LA. He was a native of Cranford, NJ, a former resident of Miami, FL and Savannah, GA and a resident of New Orleans, LA for the past 7 months. Beloved son of the late Joseph Vincent O'Malley and Mary Goette O'Malley. Brother of Peter John O'Malley wife, Pamela and Angela Catherine O'Malley. Uncle of Rebecca O'Malley. Cousin of Rita Power of Connecticut. Timothy loved snow skiing and boating and enjoyed football, especially witnessing the Saints finally win the Super Bowl. Timothy's family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at University Hospital and Canon Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.
The graveside funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in Bonaventure Cemetery with The Reverend Patrick O'Brien officiating.
Remembrances: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, Greater New Orleans Office, 2605 River Road, New Orleans, LA 70121.

I was sad to hear of the passing of Tim 'Bert' O'Malley. Tim and I attended St. Michael's School together and were members of Troop 78 Boy Scouts. We 'hung out' in high school and years later I saw him when I moved to Miami for law school. I had wondered what had happened to Tim, when a mutual friend - Mike Mershon -- told me of his passing. My condolences to all his loved ones.

I have been concerned regarding our neighbor a Timothy Martin OMalley who lived at 5965 SW 76th street in South Miami, Florida and I have been trying to make contact. The property has been let go for some time now.Today I searched the web and saw this notice and am not sure this is my neighbor. Mainly we spoke about City issues and the neighborhood so I did not know much else.
