Marjorie White Carleton, 87, died Thursday, April 29, 2010 under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Carleton was born in Haverhill, MA on April 2, 1923, the daughter of the late Dr. Guy Lewis and Hazel Elizabeth Richardson. She was a 1941 graduate of Haverhill High School and received her formal education from Wheaton College in Norton, MA. Marjorie was a former resident of The Landings and member of The Landings Club for 25 years. She was a member of Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Carleton was preceded in death by her first husband, Stephen T. White and her late husband, Edward M. Carleton. She is survived by her sons, Terrell White of Savannah and Geoffrey White of Honolulu, HI; step-children, Jacqueline Wilson of Boise, ID, Douglas Carleton of Waccabuc, NY and Stephen Carleton of Sandy Hook, CN. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
