Mary Anderson Hinely
SAVANNAH – Mary Anderson Hinely died May 1, 2010 after an extended illness.
She was born August 16, 1921 to the late Ancil C. Anderson, Sr. and Lucille Mason Anderson.
She was a longtime resident of Savannah, a member of Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church and the Elks Auxiliary.
Mrs. Hinely was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, James H. Hinely, Sr., her son, James H. Hinely, III, her brother, Ancil C. Anderson, Jr., brothers-in-law, John M. Boaen, Jr., Robert F. Hinely, and John Rex and Irma Hinely Benton.
She is survived by her sister, Lucy Anderson Boaen of Savannah, sister-in-law, Annette Anderson of Savannah; nephews, John M. Boaen, III of Savannah, Carter Anderson III of Orange Park, FL, John Rex Benton of Midway, GA, Robert F. Hinely, Jr. of Newnan, GA; nieces, Brenda Tanner of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sandra Arline of Indian River, FL, and Barbara Hinely of Atlanta; and many cousins and friends including her cousin, Thelma Mason, her constant caretaker for the past six months.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with Rev. Billy Hester officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
