Elsa T. Christian
Savannah- Elsa T. Christian, 84, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May, 11, 2010 with her family by her side.
Born in Wurzburg, Germany, she moved to the United States in 1951. She has been a resident of Savannah since 1967. She was a member of the Windsor Forest Garden Club and a volunteer with the American Red Cross for 42 years.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, John H. Christian of Savannah; her children, Guenter and Anne Christian of Monroe, LA, Franke and Joy Christian of Savannah, Nancy and Jimmy Chambless of Atlanta, TX and Carla Godwin of Savannah; sister, Elfrieda and Bruce Eldridge of Cumberland, VA; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7: 00 p.m., Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Burial: Hillcrest Abbey West.
