Karin Hileagard Crawford

Karin Hildegard Hoffmann Crawford, 67, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Germany and lived in Savannah for the past 35 years. She was a member of the Retired German Wives Club and a former member of the Easter Star. Karin retired from K-Mart after 25 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Crawford, and her parents, Wilhelm and Anna Hoffmann.
She is survived by two sons, William L. Crawford and his wife, Karen, of Savannah, and Michael H. Crawford, of Knoxville, TN, her daughter, Heidimarie Anne Wells, of Key West, FL., her brother, Horst Hoffmann, of Germany, and four grandchildren, Brandon and Jessica Wells, and Rachael and Harrison Crawford.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m., Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Beaufort National Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to Senior Citizens Inc., Ruth Byck Center, 3025 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31405.

Karen was a good hearted person and a good wife. She and Harry were nice neigbors to have. My wife Carol and I thought alot of them when they lived across the street from us in Georgetown. My thoughts and prayers go out to Billy and his family.
