Celebrating the life of
Watffa Saide Brannen
Passed away on February 21, 2019

Watffa Saide Jattin Chadid Brannen, 75, left this world to be with the Creator on February 21, 2019, surrounded by her husband, family, and friends.
She was born in Sincelejo, Colombia, to Abraham Elías Jattin Abdelahad (Zahlé, Lebanon) and Berta Tulia Chadid Badue (Tannourine, Lebanon). She married William Alexander Brannen III (Alex) in Barranquilla, Colombia, settled in South Florida and later permanently in Savannah, Georgia.
She is survived by her husband Alex Brannen, her children William Alexander Brannen IV (Billy), Salua Mariana Brannen, daughter-in-law Miwa Brannen, grandchildren Niina Saide Brannen, Felipe Elías Hikaru Brannen, Mana Salwa Brannen, Aisha Alessandra Rhenals, and Sasha Valentina Muna Rhenals. Also surviving are her siblings Yamil Jattin Chadid, Salua Jattin Chadid, Abraham Jattin Chadid (predeceased), Salim Jattin, Leonor Jattin, and her furry companion, Mona.
Watffa was granted a lifetime beauty pageant title by the Lions Club (Club de Leones), Colombia. She was known for her vibrant character and loving personality. Her family fondly remembers her Miss Colombia pageant adventure stories, comical encounters with school nuns, and infamous English test question in school where she was asked how "nose" was written in English, answering NO SE ("I don't know") in Spanish—getting the spelling right.
One of her favorite sayings was "viajar es cultura" (traveling is culture). She was a devout Catholic. Her favorite color was purple and she loved dogs, mariachi music, Lebanese cuisine, Morioka jajamen noodles (from Japan), her beloved hometown Lorica, and above all, her family.
You will be eternally missed, Watffa Saide de mi vida, Watffa Saide de mi amor.

Watfa, So sad you had to leave so early. You were my family and support in Savannah, you cared for me, loved my kids. You will drive for 1/2 hr to come, find & kill the cucaracha for me, you will cook sabor latino with your special seasoning. A lot i can still say, today, I only pray that Alex, Billy, Saluita and their families can find in their faith, the faith Watfa lived by, the strenght to accept God’s will. My sincere condolences and may Watfa’s beautiful soul rest in peace
