Doris Crosby McCallar

SAVANNAH - Doris Crosby McCallar, 82, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at home under the care of Odyssey Hospice. Mrs. McCallar was born March 13, 1928 in Savannah to Timothy K. Crosby and Thelma B. Crosby. She was a member of the Lutheran Church, a mother, homemaker and formerly employed at McCallar Law Firm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil J. McCallar. Mrs. McCallar is survived by her two sons C. James McCallar, Jr. and John M. McCallar; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl M. Goethe and Jimmy Goethe; four grandchildren, Kathryn M. Matthews of Lake Placid, NY, Scott McCallar of Savannah, Chris Goethe of Savannah, Patrick Goethe of Atlanta; one great-grandchild, Ryan Goethe; two nieces, Dr. Patricia Hinely and Norma M. Smith.
The family would like to express special thanks to Odyssey Hospice and to her special caregivers, Sandra Joiner, Katrina Scott, and Sophia Wright.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 11 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, from 5:00-7:00pm.
