Frieda Mints Lanier, 83 died Saturday, June 12, 2010 at her residence. She was a native of Savannah and attended Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church. She had been employed as a legal stenographer by McLaws and Brennan Attorney's. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker, and caregiver, and was devoted to her family and friends.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathy Louise Lanier MacLaurin, and her husband, Robert Harris MacLaurin, of Savannah, grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn MacLaurin Thornburg, and her husband, Gregory Matthew Thornburg, of Seattle, WA, and Bonny Kay MacLaurin, of Savannah. Her daughter, Drew Anne Lanier Miller, and her husband, James David Miller, of Savannah, granddaughters, Patricia Anne Dubose, of Savannah, and great-granddaughter, Emma Louise Dubose, of Savannah. Her daughter, Gina Lee Lanier Filmer, and her husband, David Charles Filmer, of Portland, Oregon, grandchildren, Joshua Michael Filmer, Alan Damian Filmer, and Rachel Marie Filmer, all of Portland, Oregon. Also surviving are her cousin, H. Thomas Drew, Jr., and his wife, Mary K. Drew, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and their children, H. Thomas Drew, III, and his wife, Allison, of Atlanta, Kendall Drew Rasberry, and her husband, Jamison, of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Islands Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors.
Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
