We were able to see Donald only a few times since graduation in 1947, mostly at class reunions. Donald had a way of leaving only fond memories. My most vivid memory of him in school was at our last football game in 1946, playing Dublin. On the first scrimmage play, we made a joint tackle of the runner in the middle line;Don was a guard, I was center. He was a great person and will be deeply missed.

I am so saddened to hear this news. I realize this is a great loss to your family, and I send you my deepest sympathy. Donald was a friend and classmate at Mary Persons High. I always looked forward to seeing him at the class reunions. He was always cheerful and happy and was many times the 'life of the party'.I was standing beside Donald when the last class reunion picture was taken.I willl miss him. In sorrow and affection, Violet

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Mr. Tucker always being so nice to me when I was little when I would visit with my Mom and as I got older and I came by with my own son. Mr. Tucker always had a smile on his face. He will be missed.

I've known Mr. Tucker since I was about 14 and am a better person for it. He always truly cared about my wellbeing. He taught me how to treat others; with an open heart. Every state I move to I try to find another Mr. Tucker...there is no other Mr. Tucker. He was a Savannah icon ~ All My Love

Mr. Tucker was genuinely kind. His chuckle and pearls of wisdom were priceless. I feel for my dear friend, Michael, right now. Though it's hard to let go, I trust you'll cherish the wonderful privilege you had to have grown up, worked, played - lived - with a phenomenal father who was anything but cookie-cutter typical. He was one of a kind! I'd say it like he would, but they wouldn't be able to print it! God Bless!!!
- Sonny Dixon, Savannah, GA
