Ms. Wong was the pricipal during most of my years at Windsor. It saddens me to hear of her passing. She was such a great guard over the KNIGHTS' Castle. She will be greatly missed.

It was a surprise to find that Frances had passed away...I was on the brink of inviting her to Saluda next Summer to reconnect with her. She was a gracious, peaceful, balanced human being and I feel at peace when I merely think about her. She will be missed by all whose path she crossed...she surely left a memorable example of kindness and understanding for the rest of us to follow. Peace be to those who share the grief of her passing. Amen. Laura R. Fields

Frances Wong was a dear friend, one whose friendship I treasured. We became 'good buddies' when we were colleagues in the Savannah School System and often traveled to conferences together. After we both retired, we continued our close friendship and travels together. We shared exciting adventures and missed trains and planes together. After I moved out of town, we visited via telephone. When we did get together, we picked up our conversation where we had previously left off. Words are inadequate to describe a friendship that was like that of sisters or to describe my love and admiration for Frances. Others have described so well her character and beauty of spirit. Suffice it to say, she was God's angel sent to bring happiness and love to those whom she touched and to serve as a shining example for us all. Borrowing a line from Shakespeare, 'I shall not look upon her like again.'

- Shirley Jordan, Portal, GA

I was so deeply saddened when reading of Frances's unexpected passing. I actually am shocked as she was always so full of life and a joy to spend time with. She and I knew each other when I worked with the National Honor Society students at Savannah Christian and would work with her while principal at Jenkins. I always respected her as a terrific principal, and a very caring person. Our paths crossed again when she purchased a home I had listed at The Landings. Since then she has called me frequently to assist in various ways, and has honored me to work with her friends, and often just called to chat. It always brightened my day to hear from her. Her Christian spirit shined through every step of the way and I will always treasure the friendship we shared. She will be missed by so many whose lives she touched here in Savannah. My deepest condolences to the family. Frances was a wonderful professional administrator that never forgot that every person is different, and that everyone has something to give. It was her giving that made her the incredible person that I knew for many years in her service to education. My own time with Frances at SCAD was marked by her kindness, empathy, support and a sparkling sense of humor. So much more than a capable administrator, she treated everyone like family and so they became her extended family. We will miss her very much!

Francis was truly of Chatham County's best principals. As a fellow educator I could always count on her support and encouragement, and so could the students of Windsor Forest. Several times I went to her with a situation and she never failed to come up with the right answer and it was always to her students and teachers advantage. I will miss her.
