She was an emeritus member of Laurel Chapter #51, Order of the Eastern Star. She also enjoyed attending the monthly meetings of the Railroad Retirees' Club as the wife of a retired railroad employee. In her later years she enjoyed spending time with her family, bird watching, exercising at the Aquatic Center, and listening to audio books.
She was survived by two daughters, Carolyn C. Alex Lota of Statesboro, GA and Deborah E. Cameron of Savannah; one son, William J. Deedie Cameron of Forsyth, GA; three grandchildren, Patrick Jane Lota of Norcross, GA, Alison Jonathan Tanner of Savannah and Jonathan Lota of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by a soon to be born great-grandson; nieces, Ruby M. King and Doris M. McIntyre and nephew, H. Wilson Moore, Jr. as well as three felines she adored: Moe, Dot and Joy.

Hey there. I am so so sorry to not have been able to be with you, Debbie and Carolyn at the service for your Mom. My mother and your mother were good friends. I hope to run into you sometime. love, Sharon

I have fond memories of Mrs. & Mr. Cameron going back to the 1970's. She always made me feel at home like one of the family. She had a good heart and was truly interested in listening and helping anyone in any way she could. My condolences go out to Bill, Debbie, Carolyn and the whole family. She will be missed.

Having known Mrs. Cameron for a number of year through Rainbow, I have many fond memories of a kind, gentle woman who was also no-nonsense. As a neighbor, she was friednly and warm, always taking the time to speak people she knew... and those she didn't. Heaven just got a little brighter with her in it.
