SAVANNAH - Irene Law Capers, 70, died September 7, 2010 at Candler Hospital.

Born February 9, 1940, she was the second child of Samuel C. and Willie Mae Law.
She became a high school teacher and taught for six years in the state of South Carolina before teaching for more than 25 years in Savannah, GA. She retired from Savannah High School in 1998 although she substitute taught for another two years.

Irene left behind her mother Willie Mae Bryant, one sister Mary L. Brownlee, one brother Vincent L. Law, and a daughter Jeneen L. Capers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the First Evergreen Baptist Church, Savannah, Georgia, at 11:00 am.

What a wonderful Teacher Mrs. Capers was at the old Savannah High on Washington Ave, I can remember the great times we had together. She was a delicated teacher and truly she will be missed by all. I would speak too her 50 times a day passing by her room. I love and will miss you Mrs. Capers.
