Terry Lee Williams McCoy, 56, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Hospice Savannah. She was born August 7, 1954 in Radford, Virginia to the late Clayton and Virgie Williams.
She graduated in the last class of Dublin High School in 1972 and attended Virginia Western Community College.
Terry was a resident of Savannah for the past twenty years and was employed for eighteen years with the Small Business Assistance Corporation. She was previously employed for fifteen years as Assistant Vice-President of Crestar Bank now SunTrust Bank in Roanoke, Virginia.
She was a member of the Wilmington Island United Methodist Church and was a passionate gardener and ardent cook.
She is survived by her husband, Doug McCoy, of Savannah, her daughter and son-in-law, April and Gary Cross, of Summerville, SC, her son, James Hayse, of Roanoke, VA, her daughter, Kelly McCoy, of Radford, VA, and daughter, Kate McCoy, of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by her brothers, Chuck and Jamie Dean Wheeler, of Pulaski County, VA, and four grandchildren, Austin, Morgan, Parker, and Spencer.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
A Memorial Service to honor her life will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Wilmington Island United Methodist Church.
