November 19, 1947 - October 09, 2010

Harry L. Bowyer, III

Harry Llewellyn Bowyer, III, 62, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at home under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.
He was born in Savannah, November 19, 1947, the son of Harry L. Bowyer, Jr. and Ruth R. Bowyer. He had especially fond memories of growing up in Savannah and in particular, time spent on the rivers. Educated locally, he later attended the University of South Carolina.
Much of his life was spent in Central America where he developed an interest in the trade of local hand made products among several countries. This led to a move to Seattle where he remained for several years before returning to Savannah.
Harry is survived by his brother, Ralph R. Bowyer Jane, and nieces, Ruth B. Weimer, Cathryn H. Bowyer and Elizabeth B. Cruise.
It was of particular importance to express his appreciation to everyone that provided support during his illness.
Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Bonaventure Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances be made to Spanish Oaks Hospice, 8510 Whitefield Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406.

My Time It's not my time Is it? Who's to say My face Does not exist Any more? The eyebrows Lift and sway; Mouth parts smile Or grimace; Get my drift? I do. I am at drift In Sea And season Beyond the patio And sky. I see or imagine A scream Of purple wisteria, Violent Impatience, and staggering Jasmine Set to music with Mandolin Or jammin' guitar And bass. These phrases of “life” Exist always. And what is time Anyway? A brief moment-- Interlude Overshadowed by Eternity. Love always, karen
