George Allen Faircloth, Sr.

George Allen Faircloth, Sr., 83, died Thursday, October 14, 2010 in Savannah.
Mr. Faircloth was born in Emanuel County, GA on August 26, 1927, the son of the late Willie C. and Mary Lampp Faircloth. George was employed by Union Camp where he retired after 44 years of service as a Paper Mill Foreman. Outside of work, Mr. Faircloth enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Faircloth is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Grace Motes Faircloth; daughter, Geraldine Head and husband Wayne of Jersey, GA; sons, Gerald Faircloth and wife Rita of Richmond Hill, Allen Faircloth and wife Genie of Savannah and Robert Faircloth and wife Kelly of Savannah; grandchildren, Adam Faircloth and wife Amy, David, Hunter, Allyson, Tyler, Erin and Ansley Faircloth; great-grandson, Garrett Faircloth and step-sister, Ruth Hendrix.
Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with Rev. Ryan Ralston officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
Remembrances: Memorial University Medical Center, Rehabilitation Institute, 4700 Waters Ave., Savannah, GA 31404.
Aunt Grace, Allen, Jerry, Geraldine, and Robert, It was so good to see each of you yesterday, although it was such a sad time. We loved Uncle Buddy very much and will miss him, as we know you will. Our thought and prayers are with you. May God bless you.
