Dennis K. Smugle

Savannah- Dennis K. Smugle, 71, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Memorial University Medical Center.
He was a born in Pennsylvania and moved to Savannah in 2004. After serving in the U.S. Navy from 1957-1961 he retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Washington DC with thirty five years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 154 at Tybee Island and the German Country Club. He enjoyed fishing and reading, but his favorite place to be was in his recliner, with the remote and his faithful companion "Kit", watching the Military Channel.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Judy Smugle; daughter, Christine Smugle, and beloved friends, Les and Brenda Krause, all of Savannah.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 20, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. Burial will be private.
