Ralph N. Shiloski

Savannah - Ralph Norman Shiloski, 76, died Monday, November 29, 2010 at his residence. He was born November 23, 1934 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He graduated from James M. Coughlin High School in 1952 and Penn State College Extension in Wilkes-Barre in 1953 with a diploma in Engineering. He went to work for Glen Martin Co. as a draftsman working on the P5M, B57 and P6M and was later promoted to an engineer working on the P6M escape systems. In 1959, he joined Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corp. as a draftsman working on the Gulfstream I, The F14, The COD and the Gulfstream II. In 1968, he was assigned to Grumman Savannah where he was in charge of the crew and equipment integration group. He worked on the Gulfstream II, III, IV, V and the lite aircraft made by Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. In 1995, he retired due to medical complications.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Nancy Shiloski of Savannah; four children, Terrence Shiloski of Standwood, WA; Teena Shiloski Burns of Claxton; Derek Shiloski Mary Weathers of Savannah; Lisa Shiloski of Savannah; brothers, Victor Shiloski of California; Joe Shiloski of Pennsylvania; sisters, Delores Marinangelli of Pennsylvania; Natalie Neary, MD of Maryland; Mary Ann Swiderski of Maryland; four grandchildren, Jennifer Burns, Daniel Burns, Traci Burns and Bridget Shiloski; two great grandchildren, Britney DeLoach and Alayna Young.
Memorial Service: 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2010 at Wilmington Island United Methodist Church. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
