Coy Lewis DeVane

Hinesville/Savannah - Coy Lewis DeVane, 91, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Savannah Square. Coy was born in Walton County, Florida and graduated from West Bainbridge Georgia High School and received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education from Georgia Southern University.

She lived in Hinesville with her late husband, Ernest Lewis and taught fourth grade at Bradwell Institute. She retired from Ft. Stewart Elementary where she taught special education.

She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Olin DeVane.

Surviving are sons, Wayne Lewis Maria of Destin, FL and David Lewis of Key West, FL; daughter, Bonnie Bishop Demery of Tybee Island; grandchildren, Heather Bell Troy of Richmond, VA; Jason Bishop Sheri of Tybee Island; great grandchildren, Austin and Audrey Bell of Richmond, VA; Cole Bishop of Tybee Island.

Funeral: 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel with the family receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Burial: Private
