Anne Griggs Dunn Jennings

Savannah- Anne Griggs Dunn Jennings died December 13, 2010 at home, under the care of Hospice Savannah, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on January 31, 1949 in Columbia, SC, Anne was the second child of Mary Griggs and John Nathaniel Dunn.
She attended Lower Richland High School and graduated from Winthrop College. Anne moved to Savannah, GA in 1978 from Atlanta, GA and raised her family in Savannah.
She was a member of Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed her work with the Flower Guild. Her family was the center of her life. She excelled in entertaining, decorating, cooking for family and friends and celebrating with her loved ones all of the rites of passage and holidays that make life so special. She found her greatest joy in being a grandmother.
Surviving are her husband, Bob Jennings; daughters, Christy Fretwell Moore and her husband, Gus, Katherine Jennings Phillips and her husband, Seth, and grandchildren, Victor Moore, Nate Moore, and Adeline Anne Phillips, all of Savannah; sisters, Mary Beth Dunn of Hilton Head Island, SC and Jackie Sanders of Savannah GA; brother, John Dunn Jr. and his wife, Denise, of Sumter SC; sister-in-law Dianne Leatherwood of Charlotte NC; nieces, Lauren Sanders, Brittany Grooms, Jennifer Leatherwood, Allison Leatherwood; nephews, Jay Wannamaker, Jonathan Sanders, Patrick Leatherwood; and dear friend, Eloise Melton.
A celebration of Anne's life will be held at Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 2pm.
A reception will follow in Liston Hall.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests any remembrances be made to Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church designated "Youth Fund", 50 Diamond Causeway, Savannah, GA 31411-1102.
