I am very sorry to hear of your loss. My mother called me recently and told me that she had passed. Patty was a very special teacher. Because of her, I turned from one of her worst students I was a bit bratty to start with to one of her best. She cared a lot about each and every one of us. I remember when my baby brother was born, she stopped by the hospital and gave me a Berenstein Bears book about having a baby sibling. I passed this down to my kids as well. I saw her often throughout my childhood since I lived on the islands, even when I worked at Savannah Yacht Club. She was always very kind. She will definitely be missed.

Pat, Julie and Kelly, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My childhood memories are full of wonderful times with Patty. We had such a good time playing at my grandparents farm, having birthday parties with all the cousins, and playing putt-putt almost every Saturday! I always looked up to my older cousin...she was someone I admired, was kind to everyone, and I know she is with God and his angels watching over you all. Love, Denise

Patty, Julie, and Kelly, I have prayed for my adoptive Auntie Patty throughout the fight. She and mommie where battling together for the six years the Lord gave them as friends. Even after my mother left this earth to go home, your mom was still fighting the battle and we cheered and prayed for her, so proud of her successes. She will be missed so much, sooooo much. I am so glad that the almighty GOD granted my family the blessing of having your Mom as a friend. She took our hands and led us through as my mother started her battle, she kept the fear at bay. I thank you and I thank God for Patty. I must smile when I think that she and mommie are shopping and having their weekly lunch dates again.

Dear Pat, Julie and Kelly - Patty must have been about 10 or 11 when we moved next door to them on 66th Street. She was our very first babysitter! She was truly one of the sweetest people I have ever known. Although our paths have not crossed often in the last few years, I will always cherish sweet memories of her - and how much she loved all of you. Take comfort in the knowledge that she is now at peace. Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted. God will see you through. Love, Marie Cowart

Pat, Julie and Kelly, I have known Patty for over 30 years; back to the days of the men's softball tournaments and Wesley Monumental Team won the state championship. We sat on those hard bleachers and fought the gnats every spring to cheer for the team. We were reunited several years ago when we happened to be taking chemo on the same day at Summit Cancer Care. She was a very special person and we had a special connection thru our faith and knowledge that God is in control. She loved her family very much and I thank you so much for keeping me and others updated via Caring Bridge. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers and I rejoice with you for the eleven years that God gave Patty to be with her family. God is so good!
