Eugene Howard Phillips

Eugene "Gene" Phillips, 61, passed away March 20, 2011 surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice Savannah. Gene was born and raised in Savannah, attended Savannah High School, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.
Gene was preceded in death by his father, Lewis J. Phillips, and brother, Freddie Phillips.
Survivors: Love of his life, Donna Barnhill; mother, Atha Wise Phillips; daughter, Lindsay Phillips Collins; granddaughters, Caitlyn and Madison; siblings, Billy Kathleen Phillips, Jerry Johnnye Phillips, Terry Delores Phillips, Donnie Tammy Phillips, Gary Paula Phillips, Timmy Melody Phillips, Elizabeth Todd, Sandy Glynn Morgan, Denise Barry Sanders; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
