Rincon- Linda Deegan Cochran, 68, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Candler Hospital surrounded by her loving famil
Linda was a native of Savannah and lived in Garden City for most of her life before moving to Rincon seven years ago. She was a graduate of Savannah High School and after twenty five years with Western Auto she worked with The City of Savannah as a Revenue Clerk. She was a Communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her father, John Edward Deegan, mother, Christine Helen Carter and step-father, Arthur E. Weeks, Sr., preceded her in death. Her greatest joy and accomplishment was caring for her family as a single mother. The guidance, support and unconditional love she gave to them will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her children, Cindy Eric Adams of Springfield, Sylvia Robert Spilliards of Pooler, Murray Lucy Cochran of Rincon, Chris Brandy Cochran of Rincon; grandchildren, Joey Arrington, Jr., Justin Adams, Jarrod Adams, Chelsea Spilliards, John Cochran, Hayden Cochran; great-grandchildren, Ashlynn Arrington and her brother, Addison King and Chloe Arrington; brother and sister-in-law, William "Billy" and Gloria Deegan and several nieces, nephews and cousins including a special cousin, Maria Carey DeLoach.
Visitation: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Joey Arrington, Jr., Justin Adams, Jarrod Adams, Steven Collins, John Thompson and Rodney Stafford. Burial will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.
