Garden City - Joan R. Thompson, 73, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at Memorial University Medical Center. Joan was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah. She was employed for many years in the bookstore at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
She is survived by two sons, Stacy L. Thompson, of Lumpkin County, GA, and Curtis L. Thompson, of Garden City, one daughter, Ina T. Hendry, of Charleston, SC, seven grandchildren, A1C Christopher Thompson, PFC Daniel Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Dr. Robby Hendry, Michael Hendry, Alex Hendry, and Jessica Thompson, and one great-grandchild, Sean Thompson.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
