Alice Mae Haas Willis

Alice Mae Haas Willis, 92, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Savannah Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. She was born in Malta, Montana, daughter of the late August and Caroline Kiemele Haas. Mrs. Willis was reared and attended school in Turtle Lake, North Dakota. She moved to Washington, DC where she met and married her husband, Earl George Willis, Sr. and became a devoted military wife following her husband throughout his military career. After her husband retired from the military, they moved to Savannah where she was a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank the staff for the kindness and care she received at John Wesley Villas where she lived after her husband died.

Surviving are two sons, Earl George Willis, Jr. and Robert David Willis both of Costa Rica; four grandchildren, Eric Willis, Kimberly Spence, Heather Powell, Lisa Haynie and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Graveside Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 15, 2011 at Hillcrest Abbey West conducted by Rev. John A. Haney.
