Janie G. Claxton
Janie G. Claxton, 82 went to be with our Dad and the Lord on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. She went peacefully with her son and daughter by her side. Her life consisted of God, her church, family, and friends.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lester and Glenda Claxton, daughter and son-in-law, Ernestine and Larry Klopp, her sister, Betty NeeSmith, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in the Islands Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2011 in the Islands Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, with Pastor Hugo Hammond, Reverend Larry McDaniel and Pastor Lamar Terrell officiating.
Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
