Savannah- Christopher B. Harley, 67, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at his residence under the care of Odyssey Health Care.
Chris was a native and life long resident of Savannah. He was a graduate of H.V. Jenkins High School and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired as a supervisor at Hunter Army Airfield with the Department of Public Works.
Surviving are his wife of thirty six years, Judy Harley; daughter, Dusty Sherrod; son-in-law, Timothy Sherrod; grandchildren, Chandler Harley, Catherine Sherrod, Alicen Sherrod, Fox Sherrod; brother, Clifford Harley and his partner, Thomas Schaffer, Jr.; sister, Beth Carter; brother-in-law, Lloyd Carter, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. A funeral service will not be held in accordance to Chris' wishes.
