Susan Mary Nelson Morrison, 65, passed away April 28, 2011 at her residence. She was a native of Chicago, Illinois and a lifelong resident of Savannah.
She was a communicant of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and was a member of the Chatham Club. Mrs. Morrison served on the board of directors for Senior Citizens Inc., and the Royce Reading Center.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty M. Nelson.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Thomas J. Morrison, of Savannah, two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas J. III, and Mara Morrison, and Edward D. and Maura Morrison, all of Atlanta, four grandchildren, Mary Grace, Eleanor, Anna, and Emily. She is also survived by her father, Edward Nelson, of Chicago, and three sisters, Nancy Hudec, Sheila Nelson, and Carol Nelson, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
Burial will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
