SAVANNAH – Pasquale D. Degennaro, 69, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center. The Long Island, New York native had lived in Savannah for the past thirty years.
He was a graduate of Bryn Mawr College where he received his Masters degree in Economics. He later was a professor of Economics at Washington College in Chestertown, MD.
Mr. Degennaro was a licensed Boat Captain and an avid fisherman. He restored classic cars, played the classical guitar and worked with his dogs in agility and obedience. Pat will be remembered for his fabulous oyster roasts at their home on the Moon River.
Surviving are his wife of thirty years, Mary Heard Degennaro; four brothers-in-law, Richard, Keith, John, and Shelley Heard; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral services will be private.
The family suggests any remembrances be made to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanab, Utah 84741 or the Savannah Chatham Human Society, 7215 Sally Mood Dr., Savannah, GA 31406.

Even though losing him is difficult, rest assured that you have so many good friends to support you!
